Remix albums, for me, typically hold the idea that you’re going to hear multiple “four on the floor” dance chop ups of one tune, over and over and over, ultimately leaving you dry in the mouth. Not the case here -at all! The Cricket EP Remix, tracks originally composed by Los Angeles artist R/D, is one of the best I have ever heard. These re-workings by the likes of Deru, MartyParty, Biclops (Eprom + Comma) and R/D himself are actual landscapes painted deep with sonic mastery. Blunted realms that will swallow you up and make you clap your hands and say “hell yeah”. Overall an A+ adventure absolutely worth your support.
