Anahata Sound – Ready Chief EP

Kick back and fall away to Ready Chief by Anahata Sound. There is a different pace here in this six song EP (out now on Gypsy Pop Records with a ton of bonuses). Compositions ride as smooth as waves, lullabies and gentle embraces in a decidedly low gear tempo. There are several collaborations here of note. “Birds n Bees for a LIL G” with Wazulu is a dedication to her vision of freedom for the youth she has worked with in Oakland Juvy Halls leading meditation groups and “Heavens Choir,” a collaboration of spoken word featuring Killah Priest (Wu- Tang), J. Human and Anahata, with jazz legend Benny Green on the piano. The Hip-Hop/ Spoken-word set to Greens piano & Anahata’s production, cooks up a melting pot of non cliché spiritual sonic display.
