Hey! If you're new to I AM A LASER, you might want to also subscribe to our RSS feed, follow us on Twitter, or "Like" our Facebook page. Glad you're here!

I AM A LASER, in conjunction with The Service Company (Destroy LA), is LIVE with a new monthly event held in downtown Los Angeles at Club Nokia’s Mezzanine Bar every second Thursday! These nights will be happening in conjunction with the Downtown Los Angeles Art Walk event.

The intent of these live events is to merge several West Coast scenes into one experience seamlessly -the unified culture of cutting edge exploration and expression that they all are. Every month we will combine various amounts of bass heavy glitch, dubstep, electro, urban hip hop, indie, and gypsy for your pleasure -along with live art painting and who knows what else. Peep the “deets” below and come to the show!

$5 With RSVP – $10 Without :: Email rsvp@iamalaser.com to get your ass on the list. Please give us full names and the full names of any guests you wish to include.

Performing LIVE December 10th:

Ana Sia

ana_sia

Ana Sia’s energetic delivery of brain-fazing beats has earned the Princess Slay-ah an important spot in pioneering the West Coast future sound movement. She will take you on a musical expedition into the deepest reaches of your brain, as she masterfully blends a wide spectrum of rhythms with a beautiful fluidity and a delicate sensibility, giving the dance floor a delightful ride that ends at the corner of bliss and oblivion.

Uniting the best elements of dirty dubstep, grimy glitch, and her personalized blend of “global slut psy-hop,” Ana Sia’s sets confirm crunk status of all who dare enter into her seamless world of sound.

Ben collaborated on a dance score for the Paris Opera Ballet with classical composer Joby Talbot in 2008, and like his other releases, this piece embodies a synergy and culmination of various musical influences.

Deru has released music with Ghostly International, Merck, Neo Ouija, and Mille Plateaux, amoungst others. Say Goodbye to Useless will be his third album and first with Mush Records. This album comprises the aesthetics of his previous releases – moody, atmospheric sounds, haunting melodies and organic textures – but with his most mature song-writing and thumping beats to date.
